A private family visitation was held for Douglas Shaw, age 72, of Bertha, MN. Doug passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, MN.

Douglas was born to Lloyd and Clara (Greiner) Shaw on March 24, 1943 at their home in Jeffers, MN. He graduated from Verndale High School and then honorably served in the U.S. Navy for two years. Doug lived in Wadena, MN, before moving to Illinois, and moved back to Minnesota where he made his home in the Bertha area until his death. He loved being outdoors, with a keen interest in hunting and fishing. Doug also enjoyed bowling.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Clara; son Richard; brothers Mike and Duane Shaw; and sisters Nita Quigley and Joanie Shaw.

He is survived by sons Duane (Tricia) Shaw of Wadena and James Schraufnagel of Neenah, WI; daughters Monica (Doug) Johnson of Menahga, Roxanne (Pat) Fiebiger of Hillsboro, ND, Rose (Darin Brown) Shaw of Wadena, Jennifer Schraufnagel of Harding and Jessie Kole of Bertha; 17 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Bill (Jean) Shaw of Bertha and Greg (Pam) Shaw of Largo, FL; sisters Mary (Wayne) Herzog of Stevens Point, WI, Kathy (Scott) Oines of Park Rapids, and Vicky Shaw-Kapphahn of Donnelly; Sherri Shaw and Sharon Arends, mothers of his children; along with many nieces, nephews and step-family.
