Newmarket- Claudia Pitman, formerly of Newmarket, died January 12, 2014. She was the daughter of John and Antonia Zuk and was born in Newmarket. Her husband, Stanley W. Pitman died in 2007.

Claudia was a graduate of Newmarket High School and she attended MacIntosh Business College.

She worked for the US Postal Service as Supervisor of Postal Operations.

She was a member of the Newmarket Community Church where she was a benevolence collector for 25 years, a member of the Woman's Club where she was also treasurer, a member of the Newmarket Senior Citizens, and the Retired Volunteer program. Claudia also served on the Scholarship Committee at Newmarket High School.

Family members include three children, Nancy E. Pitman, Stanley W. Pitman Jr., and Wendy A. Pitman, her nephews family, Michael and Gayle Zuk and their children Lara and Nicholas; and four grandchildren, Devin and Jared Pitman, Leslie and Kristen Legacy. She was predeceased by four brothers, George, Nicholas, Michael and John Jr.

Private services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hyder Family Hospice House, 285 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820.
