Thomas Edward Charles, 84, of Middletown, passed away on June 20, 2021 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born January 26, 1937, the son of George and Ella (Whisman) Charles. Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired from General Motors after working 35 years as a Machine Repairman. Tom loved his job and his coworkers. In his time away from work he enjoyed the spending time outdoors, especially tinkering on motors, dedicated to his family and helping others.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dana Charles; son, Dewayne (Jacqueline) Charles; daughter, Teri (AJ) Bentley; grandchildren, Zachary, RJ, Kayden, Jason, Emily; siblings, Wanda (Darrell) Montgomery, Ronald Charles, Sue (Larry) Shields, Carol Jackson, Lin (Christine) Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
