Barbara Ann Robinson Bloyd-Powell, 79, of Bronson, Texas passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at her residence.
Barbara was born in Bronson, Texas on August 13, 1941 to her parents, Ben Robinson and Hattie Williams Robinson. She worked for many years as a labor and delivery nurse for Dr. Henri Clarke in Beaumont before returning to Bronson 20 years ago. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed crafting and going to flea markets and garage sales. She loved watermelon and was known for having no filter whatsoever with whatever she chose to say.
Barbara was a longtime member of Rosevine Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Powell of Bronson; daughters, Cindy and Craig Pemberton of Beaumont, Sonja Robbins of Beaumont, and Kim and Jamie Westbrook of Hemphill; step-daughters Beverly Powell, Trina Haynes, and Jackie Cannon; brother, David Ray Robinson and wife, Beulah, of Lufkin; brother-in-law, James Cunningham of Bronson; grandchildren Matt, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Ian, Kendall, Sierra and Cauline; great grandchildren, Bentley, Harper, Wyatt, Jordan, and Haisley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara's family will welcome friends and relatives for visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.
Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
Burial will follow service in Magnolia Cemetery with Matt Sigur, Ryan Sigur, Ian Robbins, Craig Pemberton, Tyler Williams, and Joe Hanks serving as pallbearers.
