Mr. Ronald Kenneth Mooney, Sr., age 81 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Monday, June 21, 2021. He was born August 31, 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Claude Marion Mooney and the late Mrs. Lois Gardner Wright Mooney. Mr. Mooney was a commercial printer for many years. He loved being outdoors, all sports, and playing golf. He was a handyman and could fix anything. Mr. Mooney was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Villa Rica.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Claude Mooney, Steve Mooney, John Mooney; sisters, Jeanette Queen, Mary Densmore.
Mr. Mooney is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mrs. Terry Dease Mooney of Villa Rica, Georgia; children and spouses, Ron, Jr. and Tina Mooney of Douglasville, Georgia, Chuck Mooney of Villa Rica, Georgia, Denise and Alfred Moon of Hoschton, Georgia, Brad and Danielle Mooney of Marietta, Georgia, Curt and Daiyana Mooney of Villa Rica, Georgia; sisters, Brenda Smith of Bethlehem, Georgia, Faye Cochran of Gainesville, Georgia, Shirley Gay Densmore of Villa Rica, Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Robert and Sandra Mooney of Cumming, Georgia, Butch and Dondra Mooney of Buchanan, Georgia, Jerry and Julia Mooney of Temple, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Todd Wright officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to The Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinson.org.
