Melba Jean Payne Carter, age 62, passed away on Nov. 11, 2007 in Eagle Mountain, Utah following an Extended Illness. She was at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on Sept. 14, 1945 in Salt Lake to Frank C. and Zelma (Jensen) Payne.



Melba married Grant Kendall Carter on Nov. 16, 1963 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Melba is survived by her husband, Kendall of Eagle Mountain; their three sons: Douglas Grant (Tami), Michael Todd (Brooke) and Chad Ellis (Paula Seeley); her grandchildren: Justin Todd, Alexandrea Kathleen, Taylor Frank, Jennifer Anne and Tori Lynne as well as many friends. The family would like to thank Harmony Hospice Care for their compassion and aid during her illness.



Funeral Services will be held on Wed., Nov 14, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at the Eagle Mountain West Stake Center, 1330 E. Iran Hodges Scenic Pkwy, Eagle Mountain, UT. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10-12 at the same location.
Interment at Valley View Cemetery.
