A dedicated Pastor, a compassionate friend, and an awesome mother.
Sandy lived a full life, following a call to Lutheran ministry in her mid-40's, serving as a pastor on the high plains of North Dakota, and then working for 10 years as a critical-care Chaplain at MeritCare hospital in Fargo, ND, before the onset of Parkinson's disease forced an early retirement. She spent her final days in the Good Samaritan Special Care Center, charming nurses and attendants right up to the end.
She is survived by her two sons, Aaron and Josh, her older brother Tom and younger sister Jean, five grandchildren, and many, many friends. She lives always in our hearts.
