Mr. Scott was born in Bridgeport, CT on August 28, 1927. He attended Roosevelt School, Bassick High School, the Junior College of Connecticut, and the University of Bridgeport. He honorably served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Mr. Scott was employed at Manning Maxwell Moore which later became Dresser Industries, where he was an account for 48 years before he retired in February 1995. He was treasurer of the Quarter Century Club and treasurer and president of the Retirees Club.
Mr. Scott was a devoted parishioner of St. John's Episcopal Church, having been a choir boy, accolade, member of the vestry, treasurer, junior and senior warden, member of the finance committee and chairman of the youth committee. For the Headstart Daycare, he was finance chairman, vice president, president, and ABC representative, and for the South-End Daycare Center he served as treasurer, vice president, and President. He was also a member of St. John's Family Center where he also served as treasurer, and of the National Association of Accountants, having been a representative, treasurer, vice president, and president. He served with Junior Achievement for 25 years and was an auditor. He also collected clothes for many years for those in need towards the end of his life.
Mr. Scott is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Francis Wantuch; grandchildren, Beth Anne Vancise, Robert Pascone (Lynda), Stephen Wantuch (Dawn), and Jennifer Daley (Thomas); his great-grandchildren, Kyle and Rebecca Vancise, and Emma and Matthew Wantuch; and his many nieces and nephews that he said were so wonderful and he didn't know what he'd do without him.
Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Elinore G. Scott; his mother, Jeannette Pearle Glover and father, Arthur Burroughs Scott; his daughter, Barbara Pascone and son-in-law, Anthony Pascone, and his siblings, Dorothy Pearle Worthing (Milo), Adelle R. Cox (James), Arthur G. Scott (Arlene), Harry Scott (Irene), Garrett F. Scott, Robert A. Scott (Geneva), Sherwood E. Scott (Elizabeth), and Webster W. Scott (Caroline).
