Michael Sandy Cleveland (Columbia) – Mike, 71, passed peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021, surrounded by his family. Mike was born in Fredrick, Maryland, and was the son of the late Luther Norvell and Helen Sandy Cleveland. He resided most of his life in Roanoke, Va., and Columbia, SC. Mike was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Lakeland Lodge, and Kazim Shriners of Roanoke, Virginia. He also served in the National Guard. Mike retired in 2008 after 40 years of being a successful salesman.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Debbie" Cleveland of Columbia, SC. Surviving are his two daughters, Christy Dean (Wes) of Greer, SC, and Kelly Rogers of Greer, SC. Mike especially loved his six grandchildren, Parker, Peyton, Elizabeth, Emily, Hannah, and Julia-Lane. Also, surviving is his brother Randy Cleveland (Dianna) of Roanoke, Va. and brother-in-law Richard Williams (Brenda) of Rocky Mount, Va.
The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff of Agape Hospice for the exceptional care provided to Mike and his family. A private service will be held at a later date.
