Jay was born on Feb. 1, 1975 in Wooster to Donzel Sr. and Sandra (Johnson) Murphy and had made his home near Burbank all his life. He loved fishing, caring for and spoiling his dogs and cats, taking trips to the zoo, family times spent in West Virginia and shopping. Jay made the most out of life and he will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Surviving is his father, Donzel Murphy Sr. of Burbank; his sisters and brother, Brenda Haupt of Lodi, Donzel Murphy Jr. of Lodi and Karen (Steve Brouse) Satterwaite of Barnesville; his step-father, Tom Springston of West Salem; 4 nephews, a niece, 2 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Springston in 2012 and his paternal grandparents, Edward and Amanda Murphy.
Services will be Wednesday, June 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Charles Burgess Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Congress Cemetery.
