William Adams, 71, of Akron, passed away Monday, July 19, 1993, at Akron City Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Brownsville, Pa., he resided most of his life in the Akron-Canton area. He was a former buyer for Clarkins, retiring in 1979, and was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his son, William J. Adams, in 1968, and brother, Samuel Adams, in 1975, he is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Thomas Hansen of Canton. Funeral service Thursday, 2 p.m., at the Welch-Sekeres Funeral Home. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton. Calling hours Thursday, one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
