Willie "Lee" Reed transitioned into a mansion in God's house on June 5, 2020, from home.
He was born in Hollandale, MS, on October 19, 1957, and was the son of Eddie Reed Sr., and Thelma Lee Reed.

Willie attended Jefferson Middle School and Waukegan West High School. He started working at the age of 12 with his first paper route and later gained employment with Johnny's TV & Repair, working on radios and televisions.

He met the love of his life, Annie Gates, in 1986, and they were bonded together for over 34 years. They loved to travel and spend time with family. In his spare time, "Lee" loved to work on cars (he was the mechanic of the family and neighborhood). He was definitely given a true gift/talent when placed on Earth, that he taught himself how to work on cars and was just a handyman all the way around. He also enjoyed bootlegging movies, telling lies, cracking jokes, watching westerns, sipping his Coors Light beer, puffing his cigar, and playing his music, which ranged from the Blues and R&B to Hip Hop, along with Dusties and Oldies.

Lee retired from Lake Forest Hospital in 2018. Spending time with family, playing dominos and cards, and hanging with family and friends were some of his greatest passions. Lee's loving spirit and smile will be forever remembered by all who knew him.

"Lee" leaves to cherish his memories: his loving partner, Ann; his father, Mr. Eddie Reed, Sr.; one son, Christopher Profit; four daughters, Yumenka Lane (Will), Shayvakeya Profit, LeKisha Thompson, and Latrese Gates; two brothers, Jimmy Reed and Shawn Bradshaw; one
sister, Teresa Nash (Eddie); his play sister, Barbara Anderson; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; five nieces, four nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Reed, his brother, Eddie Reed Jr., and his daughter, Krishna Reed.
