William Floyd Moody, son of the late Clifton Leffel Moody and Hattie Lorene Killian Moody, was born December 3, 1941 in Cross Roads, Arkansas. He departed this life June 20, 2021 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 17 days. He was a lifelong resident of Izard County. Floyd spent his life as a loving son, brother, uncle, companion and friend. Most of his working years were spent as an orchard worker in Washington or working at the sawmill. He was of the Baptist faith.
Floyd is survived by his companion of many years: Joann Holt of Mountain View; two brothers: Raymond Moody and Clifton Moody, Jr., of Pineville; two sister: Patsy Belding of Jordan and Ann Collins of Tecumseh, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Donald Moody, George Moody and Carl James Moody.
Visitation and graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, June 23. Visitation will be at Eddie's Family Funeral Home beginning at 10 am. Graveside funeral service will begin at 11 am at Cross Roads Cemetery in Pineville with Mike Haney officiating.
Pallbearers: Thomas Rushing, Darrell Killian, Charlie Crotts, Danny Copeland, Wayne Moody and Leman Moody.
