Claud Evans, 59, died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at The Ranch House in Garden City, Kansas. He was born August 21, 1961 in Elkhart, Kansas and son of James E. Evans, Sr. and Severa Tomisita "Sally" (Abeyta) Evans.

Claud grew up and attended schools in Keyes, Oklahoma. He later moved to Elkhart, Kansas and on December 7, 1980, he married Francine McCready in Clovis, New Mexico. They moved to Guymon, Oklahoma for a short time before moving to Garden City in 1983. Claud later lived in Amarillo, Texas and the Pismo Beach, California area before moving back to Garden City in 2015. He has lived in Garden City since. Claud worked most of his life in the oil field business. Claud enjoyed his time visiting with people, laughing, and telling jokes.

Survivors include three children Brandon Claud & wife Sheree Evans of Amarillo, TX, Sarah Brooke Evans & partner Michael Bond Walker II of Garden City, and Marlie Ann Evans & Partner Michael Lloyd Crain, Jr. of Garden City; four brothers David & wife Thelma Romero of Weatherford, OK, Rich & wife Judy Evans of Portland, OR, Jim Evans of Elkhart, KS, & James & wife Bylle Evans of Elkhart, KS; six sisters Fran & husband Nelson Berry of Texhoma, OK, Angie & husband Gary Wright of Hardesty, OK, Joyce Perry of Nevada, MO, Vel & husband Brent Rains of Bowling Green, KY, Ramona & husband Billy Thrash of Texhoma, OK, & Tesa Carmicheal of Denver, CO; and thirteen randchidlren. Claud is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Adrian Evans; and a sister Billie Joe Hall.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Pastor Bob Bates officiating. Services may also be viewed on Facebook Live on the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. A private family burial will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to the Claud Evans Memorials Fund in care of the funeral home.
