Lisa Kay Sanders was called home to Heaven to spend forever with her deceased Dad and Mom, Benny and Eloise Sanders, and her sister Elizabeth Sanders. Our angel Lisa was born in Sulphur, LA on March 10, 1964. Her birthday was her favorite day, of which she reminded us of every year. A service to bring her home will be at 1 PM, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Interment will follow at Briarwood Cemetery near Saline, LA. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until service time on Tuesday at Blanchard- St. Denis Funeral Home located at 848 Keyser Ave., Natchitoches, LA. 71457.

Lisa was 57 years of age at the time of her passing. Lisa's angelic life was known by all she met. She grew up in Hackberry and later move to Readhimer with her parents. She graduated from Jake Drost, a special school. Lisa never missed an event with her mom and dad. She was a very high functioning Down's Syndrome child of God. She loved the Lord and had her Bible placed on her dresser daily, where she would have it read to her. She loved music, especially Elvis Presley. At her home, she was always busy. She could dive and swim like a fish, Lisa loved to have her daily cups of coffee with visitors who were real or pretend. Loving to dress up and having her fingernails manicured were at the top of her list.

After her dad passed away in 2014, she and her mother moved from the large piney woods to Sulphur, where she and her mom were able to enjoy the entire family's day to day activities. She was such a blessing and leaves behind her brother, Jeff Sanders and wife Cheryl, sister Teresa LeBlanc and deceased brother-in-law Terry, sister Tara Poole and husband DeWitt, and sister Jeanne LaFleur and husband Tim. She also leaves a myriad of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles who are all fortunate to have been graced with the presence of this angel for so long. There will never be another Lisa who was the purest of heart. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Jennings Johnson, Lisa's four-month-old cousin who is now at St. Jude's.
