Earl Douglas "Doug" Jackson, age 63, died unexpectedly June 15, 2021 at his home. He was born October 20th, 1957 in Dayton, son of late William and Peggy Jackson.

Doug graduated from Colonel White High School, Class of 1976. He worked at and ran Andy's Furniture in Dayton, and for many years he owned and operated Advanced Appliance and Refrigeration Repair.

He is survived by his loving children, Brandon Jackson and Ashley Jackson (James Weiss) ; granddaughter, Zoey Weiss; sisters, Adonna Frieszell (Mitch Spencer) and Tina Morgan; brother-in-law, Douglas Morgan; mother of his children, Cheryl Jackson; nieces and nephews, Heather (David) Williams, Jake Frieszell, Chelsea Morgan, and Zack Morgan; his dog, Roxy; and a multitude of extended family and friends, many of whom knew him as "Hammer".

Doug enjoyed attending church, fishing, watching races, dancing, going out to eat, and loved riding his Harley. In his spare time, he liked to paint wooden bird houses, lighthouses, and figurines that he would give as gifts to make people happy. He loved to talk, and to him, nobody was a stranger. Doug had the best sense of humor and had a knack for making people laugh with his jokes and stories. Doug was a protector and a hero to many who looked up to him. He was the big teddy bear with kind eyes and a loving smile, who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton.
