Sandra Sue Riley, age 81, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

A celebration of Sandra's life will be held on a later date.

Sandra was born in Adrian, Missouri on September 25, 1939. She was the daughter of Nathan A. Riley and Emily (Willott) Riley. In life the most important thing to Sandra was her family. After graduating high school Sandra began her career in Banking. Sandra worked at Leawood National Bank as a teller working her way to mortgage loans. She later worked for Regional Investment Co. and from there went on to own her business, People's Choice Real Estate. After Sandra sold her company, she continued to work in the mortgage industry. Her family often laughed because although she retired many times, she worked whenever someone called and needed help at their business whether it was for a week or a year.

Although she spent many years volunteering and giving her time to others. She was a member and Treasurer of the Elks Lodge #2791 in Cass County and received the Grand Lee Award. Sandra volunteered at the Disabled Veterans where she received the St. Michael's Guardian Angels Award. Volunteering at Cass County Sheriff's Office, local Police Departments and first responders were important to her. Sandra believed in rescuing animals. She rescued several dogs, mustang horses and burros over the years. Sandra also enjoyed line dancing and the two step. She often pulled strangers out on the dance floor to dance. In life she loved to ride horses, read and travel. Sandra had an infectious laugh.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan Riley and Emily Bevins; stepfather, Robert Bevins; sisters Nadine Carey, Nari-Lee Cameron, Betty Papst, and Margaret Norton.

She is survived by her son, Richard P. Showalter (Kelly); daughter Cindy L. Jobes; brother Danny Charles Riley (Brenda); two grandsons, Travis W. Jobes and Jordan P. Jobes (Andrea); and many nieces and nephews.
