Jeffery C. Barton, age 46 of Cresco, passed away June 19, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones, after being involved in an accident;
He was born August 7, 1974 in Iowa City, IA to Richard and Phyllis (Tollefsrud) Barton.
Jeffery married Shauna Tripp on October 23, 1993, to this union were born Jordan and Kyle, the couple later divorced.
He later married Dawn Nystrom on September 19, 2009 at Waterloo Ridge Lutheran Church.
Jeffery enjoyed fishing and hunting, he was an avid motorcycle rider, and enjoyed camping trips to northern Wisconsin and Colorado, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family and his dog Diesel.
He also had a passion for learning and researching new subjects, and an excellent sense of direction when they traveled;
He was a strong and fearless individual.
Jeffery was an accomplished Mason learning the trade from the ground up, he was employed by Van Minsel Bros. Construction of Spring Grove, MN, and recently started working for himself, hauling.
Survivors include his wife Dawn of Cresco, his mother Phyllis (Don) Nelson of Chicago, IL and his father Richard (Hope) Barton of Rock Island, IL, his children Kyle and Jordan of Cresco, and step-children Aaron Homeister, Alison Schrage and Adam Schrage and his grandson Jaxsyn. Also surviving are his sisters Brandie of Chicago and Joy of Cresco.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers Barbara Haugen and Mary Gilbreaith and other loved ones,and also his beloved pet Diesel.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Waterloo Ridge Lutheran Church.
Pastor Elizabeth Hermeier will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call Monday, June 21, 2021 from 4-6 P.M. at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
