Steven H Jenkins passed on June 13, 2021 at 12:45am, just minutes into his 76th birthday. Steve was born in Afton, WY on June 13, 1945 to Charles Evan and Wilma Haderlie Jenkins, the second of four children. He grew up in Freedom, WY. From 1964-66 he served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northern States mission. After that, he attended BYU where he met the love of his life, Liz Nielsen. They were sealed on January 25, 1967 in the Salt Lake City, UT temple. In 1971 Steve graduated from BYU with a BA degree. Steve worked many years for the government (DEA and Customs), as well as other jobs in order to support Liz and their children. His work took their family to IL, CO, AZ, UT, TX, and WA. After retiring, Steve and Liz were able to serve as missionaries in the Australia Sydney North Mission from March 2017-Nov 2018. Their mission was followed by an extended family history trip to the British Isles and Northern Europe.

Steve is survived by his wife Liz and their 10 children: Andrea (Randy) Olenslager, Alexander (Angela) Jenkins, Jens (Shelli) Jenkins, Tina (Tyson) Harding, E (V) Jenkins, Jennifer (John) Howell, Benjamin (Bethany) Jenkins, Hilary (Evan) Biddulph, Tanya (Bracken) Mosbacker, Jessica (Henry) Tran, as well as their 38 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Lynette [Alfred] Blue, Kendall [Eileen] Jenkins, and JoLynn [Jeff] Barneck, several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends that he and Liz have made over the years.

He sacrificed much to take care of and guide his family. He had a strong work ethic, a keen sense of justice, strong opinions, and an especially great love for people, always willing to go the extra mile to help others. His witty jokes, easy nature and sincere encouragement endeared him to many. Steve loved the Savior, Jesus Christ, and tried to serve Him throughout his life.
