Darlean Harris died after a long struggle of health conditions on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Bedford Wellness (Brookdale Eden Estates Assisted Living).
She was born as Nina Darlean Massingill on April 30, 1935, in Hico, Texas, the daughter of Bart and Nina Massingill.
Darlean never graduated from high school, but did complete a less than 8th grade education before she began her life marrying and having children.
She was the youngest of six siblings, deceased are Eldon Massingill, Dutch Massingill, Beatrice Massingill and with her transition there are two surviving, Jewell Holland (96) residing in Ewan, N.C. and Clyde Massingill (88) residing in Coerring, Neb.
Survived by her sons, Jimmy Don Burt (children: Robbie Burt, Christopher Burt, Amanda Burt and four grandchildren), Danny Ray Cox and his wife, Nancy Cox (children: Robbie Cox, Brett Cox, Kristin Cox, Megan Maimone, Lindsey Van Horn, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren), Ralph Hiebert and his wife, Sandra Hiebert (children: Wesley Hiebert and Amy Brindle and two step-children), Debra Tischler (step-children: Kristie Laird, Monica Patrick, David Tischler and five grandchildren).
Visitation: 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Chapel.
Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Chapel. Followed by her final resting place at the mausoleum.
