George William Parker, age 62 of Lovilia, Iowa passed away peacefully at home June 17th,2021.

Services will be held Tuesday, June 22nd beginning at 3:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville. George Parker was born June 1st, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to James William Parker and Margret "Peggy" McLaughlin. George grew up in South Philly and spent many summers with his Grandmother in Florida. In the year of 1976 he married Janice Fredrick and to that union two children were born, Teresa and Michael. After separating with Jancie he moved
to Arizona to pursue a degree in Welding. In 1985 George made the move to Iowa, from there he met Vicki Johnston. They later resided in Pennsylvania until late 1990. George and Vicki had two children during that time, James and Kelly. From December of 1990 George lived out his remaining years in Iowa with his family.

George was a ASE Master Certified Technician, he did a wide range of jobs including: light mechanical, full fledged frame off restorations, go-karts, helmets, and any random auto job that came his way. George spent his last 15 years of his work career at Weiler painting construction equipment.

George enjoyed many things in life; especially spoiling and spending time with his Grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman. He loved trout fishing the most with Vicki in the many streams in the Pocono Mountains. Many memories were made on fishing trips to Bennett Springs with family. In his past time George enjoyed riding four wheelers, car auctions, RC cars,
shooting guns, and collecting various items. The endless collections consisted of red line hot wheels, football and baseball cards, coins, G.I. Joes for the grandchildren, chevelles, and the occasional junk Buicks! Most collections consisted of duplicates due to the fact the grandkids
didn't know whether they were for play or to store them away for their collections!

Those left to cherish George's memory are his wife Vicki of 35 years. Children Teresa (Jeremiah) Poole, daughters Adison and Alissa. Michael Parker of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. James (Jennifer) Parker, son Atlee. Kelly Parker (Son in law Bret Hoy) children Everett, Newt, and Charlotte. George was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

George is preceded in death by his parents, James Parker and Margret McLaughlin.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given in George's memory to his family.
