David Omar Giles, age 93, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Wednesday April 10, 2019. David was born January 26, 1926 in Maplesville, Alabama.
David is survived by his wife, Marcie Giles; son Mike (Cheryl) Giles; daughter Denise Wallker; and grandchildren Christi (Daniel) Robinson, David (Hannah) Giles and Marcie Walker. His great grandchildren include: Laurel Robinson and Sutton Ann Giles.

A World War II vet, Mr. Giles finished high school after the war. He retired after years of multi-faceted work with Alabama Power. David was very active at Eastmont Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and participated regularly in Carpenters for Christ projects. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who treasured his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation for Mr. Giles will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. A Celebration of Life will occur at 11:00 AM. A committal service will follow at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens at the conclusion of the Celebration of Life.
