Hopper 52, of Houston, passed away peacefully surrounded by those he laughed with, lived for, and loved on Monday, March 25, 2013 of acute myelogenous leukemia. He was born to Donalene and the late Cameron A. Hopper on July 5, 1960 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Steve was a stubborn man who lived for his kids, Phillip and Angela Hopper. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand. In his free time he enjoyed watching movies, catching up on the news, and hanging out with his faithful dog Cole.
Steve graduated from Cy-Fair High School and worked for the family business, H&H Sales, Inc., for 31 years, along with his late brother Cameron Michael Hopper, and father.
Steve is survived by his beloved children, Angela Hopper and Phillip Hopper of Houston; mother Donalene Hopper of Houston; sisters Pamella Hopper of Austin and Deborah Shepard of Houston; nieces Risa Renna of Dallas and Rachel Shepard of Houston; and nephews Cameron Douglas Hopper and Christopher Hopper of Houston.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society http://www.lls.org.
A memorial service will be held on April 6, 2013 at 10:30am in the Mary Chapel at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 19222 Tomball Pkwy., Houston.
