Mary Ann was born April 17, 1933 in Columbiaville, Michigan to Leander and Beatrice (MacNeven) LeValley. Mary Ann was raised on the LeValley family farm in Columbiaville and spoke fondly of her childhood, from a loving home. In high school, she met the love of her life, Bevan Adams and their love story began. Mary Ann (& Bevan) graduated from Lapeer High School, class of 1950. Mary Ann and Bevan were married on August 19, 1950, at the Liberty Street Gospel Church in Lapeer, Rev. Hemmingway officiated. Their love story spanned over seven decades – raising their family, Sunday dinners, retiring together, golfing, and travelling. Bevan and Mary Ann's love story is one to which we could all aspire.. Their relationship was fun-loving and filled with much joy – they truly were best friends. Bevan and Mary Ann celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on August 19, 2020.

Mary Ann enriched the lives of others in her career at Oakdale Center as an occupational activities therapist, teaching crafts, art and daily life skills to encourage independence and provide enjoyment & fulfillment. Mary Ann was loved by her colleagues and residents alike. Mary Ann was quite a fan of basketball. Her favorite players were undoubtedly Bevan, Clarke, and grandsons, Aaron & Stephen, with the Duke Blue Devils always having her support. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family and meeting for lunch with girl friends. Mary Ann was a faithful woman who loved her Lord and Savior and was a devoted wife and mother. As a humble, gentle woman, Mary Ann was also powerful in her prayer life, giving strength to others and setting a powerful example for her family.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband, Bevan Adams; daughter, Susan (John) Wilmers of Central Lake; grandsons, Aaron Wilmers of Rapid City and Stephen (Erika) Wilmers of Grand Rapids; great-grandson, Adam John Wilmers (& one more on the way – which absolutely delighted Mary Ann!); sister, Kathryn (Gene) Lawter of Columbiaville and her sister-in-law, Ila Mae LeValley of Davison.
