Dolores Marion Ninke was born on February 27, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She entered into rest on June 11, 2021 at the age of 93 at her home in Branson, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph Scheurer & Helen (Yeske) Scheurer; husbands, Martin Axtman and Harley Ninke; daughter, Carol Warmack; granddaughter, Lori; three sisters and one stepbrother and stepsister.

Dolores is survived by her five children, Donald Axtman of Milwaukee, WI, Michael Axtman of Branson, MO, Ronald Axtman & wife Rosie of Lawrenceville, GA, Janet Herman of Anaheim, CA, Linda Sauve of Menasha, WI; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many members of the Ninke family.

Dolores was a loving, caring, giving person and a devoted wife, mother, sister, auntie, grandma and friend, always thinking of others first. She loved to communicate with family and friends, laughing and always wearing a smile.

Dolores had a sharp mind and remembered details from years ago. She was proficient with the Internet and her tablet at 93 years old! She spoke frequently of how she desired to know more about her birth mother Helen Yeske. Her main focus was always on other people and how she could make their lives better through phone conversation, visiting, pictures, cards, etc.

Dolores had a warming and special bond with many friends and family, with her welcoming friendly voice, smile, and "giggle". She was known by many as "1-800 Dolores" and second mom/grandma to several.

In her earlier years, she was a fantastic cook, making homemade meals almost every day. She was known for her fabulous cheesecake and she made it for most occasions.

Dolores loved taking pictures and making albums. She was known for sending cards to everyone she knew. She added stickers, notes, and S.W.A.K. on the envelopes and included pictures and dollars taped to the card (usually one for each year).

She had a passion for angels and she said, "Michael the Archangel my protector" at her last moments before going to her eternal home.

All those who knew Dolores will forever cherish her loving memory.
