Shawn Jeffrey Daniel, 48, died unexpectedly on June 16, 2021. He was born August 8, 1972, son of Jerry Daniel and Brenda Andrews Baxter.
Shawn graduated high school in 1990. Following graduation, he served as a Corporal of Marines in the U.S. Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan and Bouge Field, North Carolina. He married Jennifer Marie Porter and started a family upon leaving the Marines.
Shawn received an Associates degree in the Occupational Studies of Commercial Art and Graphic Design and later used his talents at various companies including, GS&F and Lifeway Christian Resources.
In addition to his grandparents, Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Jerry.
Shawn is survived by his two sons, Cole (23) and Carson (16), who he loved immensely. They were and forever will be his greatest pride and joy. He always enjoyed spending time with them as children when they were involved in their airplane club and camping when they got older.
Shawn was a power sport enthusiast and tinkered with anything he could.
Shawn was a very humble, compassionate and self sacrificing man. He showed courage and calmness, was funny, light-hearted and loved to tell dad jokes.
A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 21st at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with a viewing from 12:00 -2:00. Interment will be on Thursday, June 24th at 1:00 at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
