Roger, 72, of Caro, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his home. Roger was the son of the late Harold and Jean (Black) Sharp.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971 while stationed in Germany. Roger was united in marriage with the former Barbara Inglis on August 15, 1970 at Barb's parent's home. He was employed as a tool crib attendant with General Motors, retiring in 1999, and was a proud UAW member. Roger loved spoiling his grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and liked taking his dogs for rides. He coached his kids in softball and baseball and enjoyed NASCAR. Roger had won many contests that involved picking the winning high school sports teams.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Barbara Sharp of Caro; three children and their spouses, Dale & Jill Sharp of Macomb, John & Millissa Sharp of Mishawaka, Indiana, Ashley & Adam Hart of Caro; five grandchildren, Emily, Paige, Sydney, Michael and Matthew; four siblings and their spouses, Carol & Aurey Frederick of Grand Blanc, Shirley & Wes Volz of Unionville, Rosemarie & Lee Morgan of Cass City, Holly & Curt Dickson of Akron; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by one sister, Georgianna Flores.

Private funeral services are being held. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
