Olga Bernice Carter passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at her daughter's home in Stillwater, at the age of 94 years.

The daughter of the late Harry Stillwell and Lucinda Smith Stillwell, Bernice was born on August 13, 1920 in Cushing where she was raised and educated, graduating from Cushing High School with the class of 1938.

She was united in marriage to Weldon Hays Carter on April 18, 1942 in Cushing. To this union two daughters, Sharon and Becky were born. The couple had lived in Cushing, West Virginia and Wynnewood, before returning to Cushing in 1984. Hays preceded her in death on February 15, 2014.

Bernice had worked for Dr. E.O. Martin for over 14 years as a medical assistant before Dr. Martin retired.

She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church; her church and family were her life. She enjoyed cooking & watching cooking shows on television, keeping a very neat home, sewing, reading her newspapers where she kept up to date on all current events, and most of all, loving her family. Her family will remember her best for her love and memory bank. (She remembered everything)

Bernice is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Kaye Seeliger and her husband Tom of Aransas Pass, Texas and Becky Sue Day and her husband Gene of Stillwater, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Geannei Butler and her husband Steven, Shelly Crynes and husband David, Anthony Seeliger and wife Kay, Michael Aaron Day and wife Carolina and Tyson Seeliger and wife Margaret; great-grandchildren, Madison Crynes, Darby Crynes, Andrea Day, Austin Day, Dylan Day, Justin Day, Sarah Seeliger, Carter Seeliger, Anabella Seeliger and Brody Hays Seeliger; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers; six sisters and one great-grand-daughter Elisha Joy Crynes.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Christian Church with Dr. Forrest Ladd officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Judith Karman Bristol Hospice in her memory.
