She is survived by her sister Annie Adams; her four children Debra Butler (and her husband John), Dennis Ford (and Luann), Bonnie Kowalski (and her husband John), and Suzette Ford; grandchildren David and Matthew Butler, Morgan Whispel, and Theresa Goforth; great grandchildren Dean and Archer Butler.
She resided in Portsmouth, VA and worked in collections with several banks before retiring to Moyock, NC with her husband. Annette loved the Lord and is a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Moyock, NC.
Annette's greatest joy in life was caring for her family and spoiling her pets. Annette met Orion at an early age, grew up together and stayed inseparable through the years. Through hard times and good times they remained crazy in love and achieved their dream of raising a family. Annette had a generous heart and was a positive influence on every life she touched. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and pets, which were her "babies" and her proudest compliment was being an outstanding mother and wife.
A service will be held to celebrate Annette's life at 11 AM Wednesday, June 23, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
