Nancy Lou Bailey of Shawnee, Kansas, died June 17, 2021. She was born November 10th, 1930, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Yale Hughes and Pauline McMain Hughes.
Nancy attended Rosedale High School where she met and¬¬ married her husband, Harvey Bailey. In her final eight years, Nancy lived at Riverstone Retirement Community living life and making friends. Nancy devoted her life to caring for her family, friends, and community. When Nancy was around everyone always felt loved and was well fed.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Carol Hollingsworth Anderson, her brother Keith Hughes, and baby sister Corinne Hughes; her husband, Harvey, and her daughter, Deborah Bailey; her grandson, Jacob Lambert; and her great-granddaughter, Sophia Rose Belt.
She leaves behind her children and their spouses, Richard Bailey, Denise and Gregory Zeller, Doreen Lambert, and Craig and Christina Bailey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicky Bartalos, Becky Belt, Beth Spornitz, Leah Malmos, Lauren Bailey Williams, and Clayton Bailey as well as 13 beloved great-grandchildren.
