Mrs. Lillie Mae Ramsey, age 79, Sunrise on May 12, 1928, Sunset on February 9, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ramsey, father Jesse (Tump) Stewart, mother Mary E. Stewart, brothers Robert Stewart, and Roy Stewart, sisters Lucy Stewart, Nora Stewart, and Shirley Stewart, grandchildren, Chris "Gallion" Ramsey and Zaneta Chandler.
She is survived by her children Betty (John) Chandler of Arlington, Va., Roger (Phyllis) Ramsey ,Sr., of Del Rio, Tn., Wanda Ramsey of Knoxville,Tn., Jessie (Wanda) Ramsey of Newport, Tn., Carrie (Hamp) Ramsey ,of Newport, William Joseph (Sammie Mae) Ramsey of Morristown, Tn., brother Charles (Stew) Stewart of Newport, Tn., sisters Delia Stewart , Nowell Stewart and Mamie Elliot all of Newport, Tn., and Anna (Henry) Coefield of Baltimore, Md.
She has 12 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday Feb. 15, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 12 noon Friday until 2 p.m. prior to the funeral services.
Burial will follow in the Gum Springs Cemetery.
