She was born on December 14, 1945, to Louis and Eithel (Holbrook) Thompson in Elizabethtown, IL. She was retired from the state of Illinois after 35 years.
Anita is survived by a brother, Robert Thompson of Wood River; two sisters, Mildred Ballard of East Alton, and Clara Call of Swansea; several nieces and nephews; and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by a brother, William Oxford, and sister, Francis Womble.
Graveside service will be held at noon on Monday June 21, 2021, at the IOOF Cemetery in Golconda, IL. The service will be conducted by Eugene Cowsert.
