Becky Lou (Ward) Wright, age 58, of Lakeview passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 9, 2019 at Spectrum Health Butterworth. She was born May 29, 1960 in Junction City, KS to Russell and Marcia (Merlington) Ward. She was a 1979 graduate of Lakeview High School. She married her high school sweetheart Steven Wright on June 29, 1979, in Lakeview, MI.
She worked at Kelsey Memorial Hospital, Hi Q, Tows Market, sold Avon & house of Lloyds for years. Whatever Becky did she had a smile on her face & made friends easily. She was known as the flower lady, one of her favorite hobbies were maintaining her beautiful hanging baskets and planted flowers. Becky was a day care owner for 39 years. She provided loving care for 100s of kids through the years. She loved her community just like her great grandma Kate Ward. She enjoyed being on the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce, Lakeview Fireman's Aux. Becky had a passion for travel, seeing new place & cultures. She enjoyed traveling to Mexico, Caribbean Islands, Canada & all 50 states. As well as taking many family trips to Florida & second home at Bear Lake, MI. She loved to be outside enjoying the sun, swimming in bear lake or relaxing at the beach. She loved her family spent many vacations with their lifelong family friends the Lincoln's; making many memories and having wonderful times spent together. She lived for her children and everything she did was for them. From her career choice to the way she lived her life, it was all for them. She was a second mother to her 3 grandchildren; her daycare kids also called her Grandma Beck.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Steven Wright; parents Russell and Marcia (Merlington) Ward; mother-in-law Joyce Wright; daughter Mandi (Wright) Kruithoff, son-in-law Anthony Kruithoff, granddaughter Madison, grandson Kaleb Kruithoff, son Micheal Wright, daughter-in-law Samantha (Craigmyle) Wright; Loving brother Shane Ward, sister-in-law Thresa Ward; Aunt Susan (Suzie) Lake-Duester, Uncle Randall & Aunt Cindy Merlington, Aunt Julie & Uncle Norm Bosworth.
Preceding Becky in death were her father in law Wayne Wright; her grandparents Jarvis & Lucy Ward, Ferris & Dorothy Merlington.
A Celebration of Becky's life's will be held later this spring.
