Carolyn Faye Jackson

Carolyn "Faye" Jackson was born January 19, 1966 in Chicago, IL. She was born to Betty Jean (Jackson) Lumpkins and Edgar Phillips. Faye cherished her father, Lee Lumpkins. She attended Wendell Phillips High School. She also attended Cannella School of Hair Design. Faye accepted Christ and was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church in Streator, IL. To know Faye was to love her. She enjoyed playing a nice card game (a game of crazy 8) or watching a game TV show. There was not a time that she would not enjoy a nice car ride. Faye loved to chat with everyone; the word stranger did not exist for her.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her six children; three sons, Charice Jackson, Samson Jackson, and Max Jackson; three daughters, Vera Jackson, Peronica Jackson and Maxine Jackson; three daughters that she cherished as her own, Arnetra Jackson, Aqeicia Jackson and Angela Jackson; two half-sisters, Ledora Archie and Arin Henry; two half-brothers, Edgar Phillips and Frankie Snyder; three step-brothers, Lee Lumpkins, Charlie Lumpkins and Ernest Lumpkins; one step-sister, Carolyn Lumpkins. She will be truly missed by her most lovable uncles and aunts; three uncles, Earl (Ernestine) Phillips, Anthony (Mary) Jackson, Ronnie (Stella) Jackson; one aunt, Elenora Coleman. Faye leaves lasting memories to two special friends, Ronald Jackson and Dennis Gould. She was adored and will be truly missed by her grandchildren, aunt, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Edgar Phillips; uncle, Roosevelt Jackson; aunt, Rosa Nell Jackson; maternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Vera Mae Jackson and two cousins, Ta'shon Jones and D'onte Gullens.

Memorial visitation was held from 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, until the noon funeral service at the Church of the Cross, 13043 E. 2260S Road, Pembroke Township.

Burial followed in the Momence Cemetery, Momence.
