Ret. U. S. Army 1Sgt. Joseph Ervin Veillon born September 22, 1922, in Eunice, Louisiana, went home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2015, at the age of 93.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marguerite Adams Veillon; his son, Mark Veillon; and brothers, Ted and Winford Joseph Veillon.

Joseph is survived by his sons, Joseph and Michael Veillon; his daughters, Elizabeth Matarazzo and Dee Dee Baen; his brother, Ray Veillon; 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Joseph retired from the U. S. Army after 20 years of service as a First Sergeant. He was one of the first Super Sergeants in the U. S. Army when the rank was formed.

He will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever.

Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015, 10:00AM - 11AM, at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 907, W. Theo Ave., San Antonio, TX.
