Shirley Butler Day passed away on January 26, 2021 at the age of 73.
She was born and raised in Provo, Utah and graduated from Provo High School. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Southern California area. She moved to Clearfield, Utah where she lived for the past 40 years.
Shirley married John W. Butler for time and all eternity in 1979. She had no children of her own, but was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Shirley was very passionate and enthusiastic about genealogy and family history and was the family member who knew all of the family stories, sometimes embellishing them as she saw fit. She had files full of family pictures and personal handwritten accounts.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, Simpson and Myrl Day, her older brothers, Arthur (Joan) Day and Simpson "Tunney" (Evelyn) Day and her sister, Divina (Ken) Snow. She is survived by her brother, Thell (Karen) Day.
Due to current Covid concerns, there will not be a viewing or funeral. There will be a small graveside service at the Clearfield Cemetery, 1050 South State Street in Clearfield on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
