Benjamin Summers of Hingham formerly of Scituate, Massachusetts entered into rest on June 14, 2021 at the age of 92.

Beloved husband of the late Renee (Davis) Summers. Devoted father of Michael and wife Deanne "Dee" Summers, and the late Dana Summers and wife Jennifer. Cherished grandfather of Zachary Summers, Tyler Summers, and Lexzi Summers. Loving brother of the late Hyman Shumrak.

Born in Boston to the late Charles and Ida (Gould) Shumrak, he served in the Army during the Korean war. He had a lifelong career as a DJ for a news station and was a news reporter for Linden Ponds in Hingham where he resided. After surviving prostate cancer, he continued to maintain a healthy lifestyle. He loved all New England Sports, and was an active member of Scituate Rotary and B'nai B'rith. Always loving and caring to others, he read for the blind and hearing impaired once a week.
