Betty D. Owen 81, of Newburgh IN. passed away Wednesday, June 16,2021 at the Linda E. White hospice House in Evansville. She was born on December 13,1939 to the late Charles "Bock" & Jewel (Fuquay) Sutton in Boonville IN. She had worked at John H Castle Elementary School, Saint Mary's Hospital, and retired from Regina Continuing Care Center. Betty cherished the time she could spend with family and friends. Betty loved to travel and would tell you all about her adventures to Orange Beach with her family. She enjoyed crafting and has been a craft show vendor for several years. She also enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting. She was a loyal IU basketball, Indiana Pacers, and a Colts fan. She also enjoyed watching tennis and was a devoted Rafael Nadal fan. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart, especially her granddaughter Melissa Owen who has been her companion and caregiver for many years. Betty was preceded by her parents, husband, Artie M. Owen, Jr., sister, Joan Erickson-Sutton She is survived by children, Chris (Marie) Owen, Robin (Graham) Bowmer, Leslie (Jeff) Koonce, Scott (Becky) Owen, Melanie (Chris) Renner, Candace Belter, Chip Owen, Grandchildren: Melissa, Tonya & Jeremy, Kristin & Chris, Chris & Shannon, Allison & Ryan, Abbey & Quinn, Brady & Aadra, Chasity, Cynthia & Freddie, Jake & Sarah and 11 great grandchildren, sister, Carolyn West-Sutton. A funeral will be held at 1 PM. on Monday, June 21, 2021 at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, Newburgh IN. 47630, (812) 853-8314, with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
