Donna (Cryer) Lawson of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 11, 2021 at the age of 53. She was born on November 12, 1967 to Glenn and Glenda (Baker) Cryer in Huntsville, Texas. Donna married Terrill (Terry) Lawson on August 26, 1989 in Austin, Texas. She was of the Southern Baptist faith and had been involved for many years as a Bible study teacher. Donna also volunteered her time at the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center, as well as being a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for children in the foster care system.
She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Lawson; daughter, Ashley Akers and husband, Emmanuel of Fate, Texas; son, Tyler Lawson of Prosper, Texas; granddaughter, Riley Akers; and sister, Celia Davis and her husband, Jack of Livingston, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Glenda Cryer.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
