Graveside services to honor Mr. John D. McIntyre, 72, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Hill Crest Memorial Park, officiated by Bro. Dennis Aaron. The family will receive guests prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

John was born in Monroe, LA on January 26, 1949, and passed away on June 16, 2021. He was a "Man of God", a wonderful father, grandfather, and husband, who always put God first, and family an immediate second. John was a skilled welder and began his welding career at the age of 18. He was owner and operator of Longwood Blacksmith and made a name for himself as the greatest welder in the area. He later opened and operated Squirrely's Pizza in Longwood, LA. The Best Pizza You Ever Put in Your Mouth!

John was preceded in death by his parents, William and Letha Evans McIntyre; and his son, John McIntyre. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 ¾ years, Mary "Ginger" McIntyre; son, Robert McIntyre and wife Jenny; daughter, Lisa Strozier and husband James; sisters, Billie Wood and Mary Rine; and seven grandchildren, Amanda and Stephanie McIntyre, John, Wesley, and Jeffery Thomas, Jacob Winans, and Joshua Hobbs.

Honoring John as pallbearers are Robert, John, Wesley, James, Jacob, Jeffery.
