Betty G. Parks, lately of Kansas City Mo, died June 13, 2021, at The Village Assisted Living in Prairie Village KS.

She was born March 29, 1928, in Greenway, AR to Inez Watson Golden and D. Frank Golden. Betty graduated from Walnut Grove Grade School, Greenway High School, and Arkansas State University where she met Ralph E. Parks at a college night class. They were married within the year at 22 and almost 19 and were inseparable for 56 years. Together they devoted their lives to teaching and encouraging thousands of young people and serving the communities where they lived.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Jane Aylward (Timothy) of Kansas City Mo, Mary Catherine (Cathy) Booth of Springfield, MO, grandchildren Sarah, Michael and Matthew (Casey) Aylward, all of Kansas City, Tori Booth and her children Rowan, Aurora and Tommy of Springfield, Tessa Riley of Broomfield CO, sisters Pat Harrington (Jack) of Memphis TN, Jean Ann Daniels (Dr. Bernie) of Fayetteville AR, brother Jerry Golden of South Rockwood MI, and 10 nieces and nephews.

Her parents, brother Dr. James Golden and sister-in-law Billie Golden of Jonesboro AR, and sister-in-law Lana Golden (Jerry) preceded her in death.

A graveside service will take place at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 20 at North Lawn Cemetery in Salem, MO.

A family and friends funeral service will be held later this summer at the family reunion in Fayetteville AR, with Betty's 2 nieces presiding.
