Peggy Rose Birdsong Carter, loving wife and mother, age 74 of Knoxville, Arkansas died Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born April 18, 1947 in Idaho to Boyd and Fern Mousley Birdsong. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Don Birdsong. Peggy was member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Clarksville, Arkansas. She had a true passion for the church, her children, grandchildren and friends. Peggy gained her Associates Degree at the age of 73 from Arkansas Tech University in Ozark, Arkansas.
She is survived by her loving husband, the love of her life, Hugh Clayton Carter; a son Michael Hennessey and wife Sasitorn of Magnolia, Texas; a daughter, Rebecca Foote and husband Garret of Denver, Colorado; a brother, Hugh Birdsong; three sisters, Michelle Adams, Pam Tranovich and Inga Birdsong and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street, Ozark.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home with Bishop Gary Trotter officiating under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home with burial at Houston Cemetery in Alix, Arkansas.
