Martha Christine Slater, 63, Joplin, Missouri, passed away Sunday evening, June 13, 2021, at her home. Martha was born December 13, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Elmer Eugene Watters and Eldred (Madsen) Watters. She married Ronald Joseph Slater on July 30, 1995, in Carthage, Missouri he preceded her in death on March 26, 2007. Martha worked as a bus aide for the Carthage R-9 School District. She enjoyed computers and spending time with her family. She attended Three Point Church in Carthage.

Survivors include a son, Nick Slater (Cynthia), Joplin, Missouri; a daughter, Jessica Todd, Joplin, Missouri; a brother, Garry Watters, Alba, Missouri; two sisters, Brenda Snyder, Alba, Missouri, and Sue Pinola, Alba, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brice Sloniker, and Tyra Todd, and a great grandson, Joseph Slater.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Melody Watters.
