RICHARDSON, Emma, passed away on June 7, 2021 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Richardson. Loving mother of Paula Richardson (Jon Northway), Jim (Kathy) Richardson, Mark Richardson (Faye Ewing), and Lisa (Chuck) Ciaravino. Proud grandmother of Emily, C.J. (Megan), Elyse, and Colton & great-grandmother of Olivia, Noah, and Emma. She was predeceased by her husband Jim, her parents, Ludovico and Lucia Vitale, and her sisters Carmela Ventura and Anna Maria Vitale.
Emma was devoted to her family and friends. She took great joy in life and it was felt by everyone around her. She loved her home and appreciated her independence. Shopping at Vince & Joe's was "therapy," as she called it, and it was one of her favorite things to do. Emma's love of cooking was surpassed only by her pleasure in sharing this passion with others. Not surprisingly, watching cooking shows was a recent favorite pastime. She was especially fond of the "Create Channel," Create®TV, hosted by Detroit Public TV.
Visitation Wednesday, June 16, from 3:00-6:30pm, with Memorial Service beginning at 6:30pm. Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery is planned for a later date with immediate family only. Please feel free to bring a favorite photo of Emma to share during visitation.
