Kathleen (Katie) Marzelle Adams, 50, of Hixson, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, June 14, 2021.
Katie was born on December 18, 1970 in Gallipolis, Ohio. She lived most of her life in the Nashville, Tennessee area and later in Hixson, Tennessee.
Katie was preceded in death by her father, William (Tom) Harold Eggleton; maternal grandparents Harold and Marevia Cregor; paternal grandparents Woodrow and Marcella Eggleton.
Katie is survived by her son, Garrett Rob Highland (Hixson) and daughter, Carlie Marevia Highland (Hixson); mother and step-father, Carolyn Sue Hayes and Steve Hayes (Jacksonville, FL); siblings: Spicy Ellen Thomas (Silver Point), Lizabeth Ann and Lant Snodgrass (Nashville), William Craig and Staci Eggleton (Franklin), Benjamin Eggleton and Michelle Wolf (Coventry, RI); step-brother, Harlan Brent and Brandi Hayes (Franklin) and step-sister, Brittainy Grace and Patrick Alexander (Murfreesboro). Nieces and nephews: Nicole and Hunter Jones, Daniel Thomas, Alexis Eggleton, Cole Eggleton, Wyatt Eggleton, Isabel Eggleton, Bree Hayes, Brittain Hayes, Kennedy Alexander and Hadley Alexander. Step-grandmother, Martha Milan (Mount Pleasant). Many aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention but all loved.
Katie was a christian and attended the Church of Christ most of her life. She loved being a mother to Garrett and Carlie most of all. She worked in the medical field and loved caring for others. Over the years she cared for many children, taught bible classes and tended to the needs of many selflessly. She also adored her pets, Gretchen, Koby and Bailey.
She was loved by many and will be truly missed as she left this world way too soon.
Services will be in the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to services on Friday.
