John Edward Watts Jr., 46, of Columbus, passed away June 14, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

John was born July 3, 1974 in Louisville, the son of John E. Sr. and Shirley Couch Watts. He married Heather Ann Thixton Ketchum on March 20, 2021.

John was an animal lover, loved watching wrestling, occasionally played video games, enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughter Nemisis.

John is survived by his wife; his father John E. Watts Sr.; his son John E. Watts III of Irvington, Kentucky; step children Kolby J.D. (Saskia) Ketchum and Jazmyn R. Ketchum both of Columbus, and Mykel A. Ketchum of Carmel; granddaughter Nemisis R. Ketchum; as well as brothers Jayson Watts of Hanover and Jeff Watts of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Couch; as well as a sister Maryanne Couch.

The funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday June 18, 2021 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Marcus Speer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of services Friday.

Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House thru the funeral home.
