Native of Oceanside, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Sunday May 30, 2021. John was born December 29,1934 at his home in Oceanside Ca to Cornelio and Guadalupe Lopez. John attended Elementary school at The Americanization in Oceanside. He graduated from Oceanside-Carlsbad Union High School in 1954. After High School he met the Love of his Life Rachel Prieto. They were married for 63 years. Three months later he was drafted into the US Army and was very proud to have served his country. John joined the Local 89 Laborers Union in 1956 and was a Mason Tender until retirement. He remained an active retired member until his death. He also worked for Oceanside Unified School district for 12 years. John and his wife were very involved with the Oceanside High Booster club. He loved to fish and enjoyed all sports. He was a dedicated Pirate fan and never missed any football games. He loved to dance and spend time with his family. John was proceeded in death by his parents, and sister's, Rosita Duarte, Helen Badillo, Petrita Lopez. He is survived by his loving wife Rachel and his children, John Lopez Jr, Crespina Murillo,(Matthew), Lucy Fiallo (Manuel). His grandchildren, Vanessa and Lisa Lopez, Diana Cruz(Bobby),Stephanie and Veronica Murillo. Manuel Jr and Noah Fiallo. His Great grandchildren, Angelina, Sophia and Lucas Cruz. Jonah and Elliott Ponce. Mattison Murillo. Raquel Pendleton, Brooklyn and Daniel Davis Jr, and Johnathan Davis-Lopez. His sister Margarita Gallegos. And many nephews and nieces and friends. He will be missed by us all. Until we meet again.
