She was born in Garrett, on February 19, 1949, to the late Rolland and Alberta (Haverstock) Bowser. In her youth she moved with her family to Medford Wisconsin, graduating from Medford High School. She returned to this area after graduation to go to Radiology school.
Phyllis was set up on a blind date with Thomas Archer in 1967. The couple was united in marriage in Fort Wayne, on September 21, 1968.
She retired from Fort Wayne Hematology. Where she was a medical transcriptionist. She had also worked for Premium Beauty Supply.
Phyllis was a member of Living Grace Church. She enjoyed her scriptures, Spending time with family, baking, gardening and canning.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas Archer; her son, Stephen (Jennifer) Archer; her daughters, Kimberly (Mike) Hoeppner; her sister, Ann Turner; a half-sister, Leola Nelson; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Dortha Miller and Eva Gordon.
Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel on June 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service.
The family will also receive friends on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial taking place at Fairview Cemetery, Huntertown.
