Joseph J. Lyons, "Honey Boy", age 84 of Keshena passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Joe was born on November 23, 1936, to the late Alfred and Cecelia (Cardish) Lyons in Shawano. He lived in Keshena for most of his life. He was also a Veteran and served in the United States Army. Joe loved the outdoors and it brought him great joy to go hunting, fishing, and he probably told a "few" fish stories in his day. He enjoyed watching baseball and playing pool. Joe married Barbara Boivin on June 8, 1991, in Keshena. He was involved in numerous organizations, Veterans of the Menominee Nation, American Legion, Amvets Post #10-Shawano.

Joseph is survived by his wife Barbara Lyons, stepchildren Lynn (Robert) Unterburger of Green Bay, Jeanne Lacourt of St. Cloud, MN, and Richard (Kerry) Hawpetoss of Green Bay. His siblings Virginia "Ginger" Smigelsti of Keshena, Harley (Diane) Lyons of Gillett, Jean Hesse of Keshena, Myrtle (Lyle) Kreier of Keshena and Wilford "King" (Ellen) Lyons of Keshena, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Cecelia Lyons, stepson Michael Lacourt, 2 brothers King and Al, and 2 sisters in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery with Military Rites by the Veterans of the Menominee Nation. Visitation will be on Friday starting at the Dave Barrett Hall at St. Michael's Catholic Church starting at 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
