Herbert "Herbie" Price Clark, age 88, of Opportunity passed away on June 12, 2021, at the Community Hospital of Anaconda, surrounded by loving family.

Herbie was born on April 20, 1933, in Helena, Montana. Herbie married his beautiful, beloved English bride, Eileen Bailey in 1954 while stationed in England serving in the Air Force. He brought Eileen and her mother back to the U.S. by ship at the end of his deployment.

Herbie worked a variety of Forest Service jobs and retired from the U.S. Forest Service at the Job Corp where he loved his job as a heavy equipment operator instructor.

Several years after his retirement, Herbie started driving the school bus. He was loved by all the children on his route. He was known as the "fun" bus driver.

Herbie cherished family time and loved camping at Rock Creek and the Oregon Coast, fishing and family breakfasts and picnics. He loved opera and classical music and would play it loudly while working in his garage. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.

Herbie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eileen, and his sister Carolyn Jensen.

He is survived by five children: Allan (MaryPat), Laura May, Jo Clark, Allison (Mark) Blom and Lee (Stacey) Clark.

Fourteen grandchildren: Christopher (Miranda) Clark, Jonathan Clark, Shannon LaTray, Meghan (Sam) Short, Danny May, Danielle and Patrick Hoscheid, Shawn Blom, Zachary (Kaitlin) Blom, Tristen, Kadeshia, Ariel, Myleigh and Trae Clark.

Ten great grandchildren: Emma and Andrew Clark, Rylan and Rhett Clark, Kendalyn and Jessica LaTray, Emersyn, Huntley and Fischer Short and Jack Blom.

He also leaves behind his faithful companion, his yellow lab, Denarys.

A celebration of Herbie's life will be held on July 23, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 500 E. 4th St., Anaconda.
